Studio Policy
-
Students must have an instrument at home for practice. (Please ask for recommendations for instrument selection). Each student is responsible for purchasing the required music and materials for lessons. Students will be expected to have the newly assigned materials within 2 weeks. To make good progress in music, consistency in practice and homework is necessary and expected.
Parents: If something is happening at home or school that is affecting your child please let US know. The more information we have, the more Iwecan be sensitive to the needs of your child.

Tuition will be charged on the 1st of each month to the method on file with My Music Staff. Flat monthly tuition rates are based on the number of guaranteed lessons in the calendar year. The studio is open for 42 weeks each calendar year. The weeks where lessons will not be held (due to holidays, professional commitments, illness, etc.) will be communicated in advance. Studio closure weeks will not receive a make-up lesson credit as they have already been calculated in the flat-rate tuition.
All payments are non-refundable. After the first payment, invoicing and payment will run automatically on the same day. Recurring late payments may result in the termination of the student’s enrollment.
*Please note that tuition reserves the weekly time slot, but may not directly correlate with lessons received if the student does not attend the scheduled lesson times.
To end enrollment for the coming month, notice must be received via email by the 15th of the current month.
-
When notice of a missed lesson is provided 24 hours prior, the studio may provide up to 2 make-up lessons each term (September-December; January-May; June-August) subject to teacher’s availability.
Lessons canceled with under 24 hours’ notices will not be eligible for a make-up lesson. Make-up lessons do not count as credit for the next month’s tuition.
Tuition is based on the number of lessons the studio schedules and will not be altered. Planned vacations or other conflicts communicated in advance receive a make-up lesson credit for that month.
*Enrollment cannot be guaranteed for the fall term without summer enrollment.
-
In the case of mild teacher illness, severe weather, or other conflicts, lessons may be held online virtually. When virtual lessons are offered, in-person make-up lessons will not be offered. If the student opts out of the virtual lesson that lesson and tuition will be forfeited.
-
Email is the preferred method of communication. Studio hours of operation are Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm. Please allow 1-2 business days for response during the week. Communications outside of the studio operating hours may have a longer response time.

From time to time, we use photos and short videos of our students around the studio, on the studio website, or in social media posts. These videos and posts are encouraging to other students and helpful to other teachers. If you do not want your’s or your child's image(s) to be used, please let us know. The students are identified only by first name.
